Great times With Family and Friends Before Leaving

January and February were months of gettting work done on the hood house and visiting doctors, but we both managed to enjoy more time with good friends. We spent our last weeks in NCalif and Tahoe lucky enough to see more family and dear friends we had not seen for a while.

Snowtime with Billy, Doug, and Jon L left us exhausted and exhaulted!

Lots of hikes celebrating our time together I cherish the most.  I will miss my dear Laguna friends!

Meeting up with Catfish and Larry in Tahoe made our trip even more meaningful.
What fun to share the ranch with Jayme, Craig and Allison and Courtney!

From Laguna Beach Back to Fiji

We spent our last week of vacation in the states in Luci's little casita next to Kris and Marc's home on the Top of the World, and we watched as the fog rolled in along the coast. It was a perfect way to say good-bye to our wonderful friends and enjoy the paradise we so love. We did have a good flight back to Sidewinder in Vuda Point and began working immediately to get ourselves back in the water and out of the marina by the begiining of April. At least it is still April and we have, indeed, escaped the confines of the marina. But......there is always still work to be done!  Nice to be on the blue-green clear warm water once again.  Life is good.
It was a treasure spending so much time with my dear friend, Kris, and enjoying time with Luci
The casita santuary on Top of the World is absolutely breath-taking. Thank you Luci and Marc!
We were blessed by Seta and his family with a kava ceremony to send us back out to sea safely.
Here he is, today,  in Musket Cove;  Captain Dave never ceases to amaze me with all he can do!
Moe lifted Sidewinder out of her hole, onto the hard, and then took us to the marina water for final tuning..
We will miss our special friends, Heather and Steve, who will be headed to Tonga soon. We have enjoyed their friendship and look forward to meeting them again, out there on the blue water.

From San Francisco to Laguna Beach and The New Year Begins

After staying with Mony and Don in their incredible San Francisco home, having dinner with Tori and Summer, and visiting with Coo and Alex, we headed home to start the New Year with family and friends.

The drive from San Francisco to Laguna Beach was spectacular, with a surprise stay over at Esalen.
Wonderful warm hot springs, great food, and amazing massages. What a treat!

Christmas was so special, meeting Julie's new family and having some quality time with Casey.

On Christmas day,  David, Casey, Julie and I enjoy an incredible seafood brunch. YUM!
We get to meet our new God-son, Kai, with new parents Robert and Kelita. In years past, they sailed with us on their sv Freedom and now they have a new crew member; we will see them again on the high seas!

Well.......It's About Time !!!!! Leaving Behind Fond Memories of Home and Vuda Pt

We are finally "on the sea, again!" and as of yesterday, back here at Musket Cove, settled on a mooring. It is a safe, quiet place to get all the last of the projects done, before heading out on a new adventure. Before welcoming our readers to the new planned adventure, we take this opportunity to reflect on the wonderful times we have enjoyed our friends and family, both back home in California, and in Vuda Pt. As always, the pictures capture the spirit of these special times and they are just a few of the many fond memories we hold dear to our hearts.
Our time home began in November when we arrived at LAX. and lasted for four months!  As usual, my wonderful sister, Jane, along with her dear friend, picked us up in our car and whisked us to Norwalk, where we began our journey home to Laguna Beach. Touching base with Kris and Marc, as well as son Casey, we then headed to N Calif for Thanksgiving at the Ranch. This was only the beginning of an incredible vacation. We spent quality time with family and friends whom we will cherish forever, and even though we did do work on our house in Laguna, the time spent walking, talking, soul-searching, analyzing, hiking, skiing, riding horses, eating, and sharing ideas made the trip the best ever. Luckily, a few of these moments are captured for all to see.
David, Mike, and Pronto having a laugh!
What more could a cowgirl want?  It was so beautiful.
A great chance to share stories and re-connect with the family at Thanksgiving time.
The newest member of the family, Dylan, with dad Conor and mom Cara. We all enjoyed giving thanks!
Allison and Courtney love their dad, Craig. We had such a great time staying with David's family.
New Year's Eve at Cindy and Mick Obrand's house, watching the sunset with all of our incredible friends!
